Black Country Churches Engaged

the sub-region’s ecumenical intermediate body

Welcome

and please be patient while we unpack that heading!

The Black Country (as a sub-region) comprises the Metropolitan Boroughs of Dudley, Sandwell, and Walsall and the City of Wolverhampton.

Black Country Churches Engaged is ecumenical in that it is "owned" by the major denominations, Anglican, Baptist, Catholic, Methodist, Quakers, Salvation Army, and United Reformed, with representation from the Orthodox, black majority churches, and The Net.

We are intermediate between the national (say Churches Together in England) and the local Churches Together groups.

And as for the engagement:  no early marriages are anticipated!  The engagement is in working together, both with each other and with other partners.  (The word has different meanings, of course, and thus there could be issues on behalf of which we might need to become embattled!)  But, see our Aims.

Welcome to our website too.  A click on You Are Here above will lead to a "map" which may be helpful.
