Meetings
In the summer Church Leaders and their representatives meet as a Spsonsoring Body to receive reports, and occasionally a Review, on each LEP.
In the past the Local Support & Advisory Group for LEPs acted on behalf of the Sponsoring Body with each of its members befriending a particular LEP. We are at present very short of such befrienders. If you feel the call, do contact us!
Currently the Enabling Group is taking over the LSAG's responsibilities: this Group meets quarterly. Each of the denominations is represented at this meeting by a Denominational Ecumenical Officer or other representative, and these are the "make-it-happen" people. Its Chair is the Revd Andrew Mann-Ray and its treasurer is Mr David Beswick. We are currenlty without a minuting secretary: if you think you could help with this, do contact us!
BCCE employs one part-time officer for 10 hours a week. He is the Ecumenical Mission Officer, the Revd Philip Webb.
Philip is also Secretary of the Church Leaders' Meeting, and attends the Enabling Gro
up and the LSAG. He represents BCCE on the West Midlands Region Churches' Forum and maintains links with both Churches Together in Britain & Ireland and Churches Together in England.
He aims to supply Church Leaders, Local Ecumenical Partnerships and Churches Together Groups and all interested groups and individuals with a variety of support and useful information through this website, monthly email bulletins and any other appropriate means.
He is always glad to preach or take services on ecumenical occasions, or at any time in our Partnerships, and to visit or come as a speaker to Churches Together group meetings.
