The Black Country Urban Industrial Mission (BCUIM) team have spent some time last autumn with the Saltmine Trust making a DVD of the work they do as part of the Mission of the whole church. The question often asked, "What do you do?" is now definitively answered by those on the receiving end of this ministry - the customers. Employees at all levels greatly value the faithful workplace visiting, the engagement with regeneration partnerships and the resources BCUIM offers to those Christians endeavouring - and sometimes struggling - to make sense of their working lives within a Christian framework.
BUT Industrial Mission is too important to be left to Industrial Mission! Mission in the economy is for every church. The DVD is a starter for you to hear what is already done in the Black Country and to invite you to discover what you could do in your area. We can visit your church/PCC/Deanery/Circuit Meeting/Churches Together group and show the DVD as a starter for a workshop or within a service, or you could send for a copy and do it yourself, knowing that BCUIM is there with resources for follow-up. God has always been in the workplace and BCUIM has always been a fresh expression of Church. For further details, telephone the BCUIM Office 01902 710407, or by email,
