Five Marks of Mission

Proclaiming the Good News of God’s Kingdom.

Teaching, baptising and nurturing new believers.

Responding to human need by loving service.

Seeking to transform unjust structures of society.

Safeguarding the integrity of creation and sustaining and renewing the life of the earth.

This was the wording incorporated in the message from the 1997 Churches Together in England Forum.  For an account of their formulation and for the full context (urging that these undertakings be made together) see Appendix A in "Called to be One" (CTE Publications)
