     The Black Country (as a sub-region) is the conurbation of the boroughs of Dudley, Sandwell, and Walsall and the city of Wolverhampton.

     Black Country Churches Engaged is ecumenical in that it is "owned" by the major denominations, Anglican, Baptist, Catholic, Methodist, Quakers, Salvation Army, and the United Reformed Church, with representation from the Orthodox, Black Majority Churches, and The Net.

     Intermediate means that we are the link for ecumenical matters between the national work of Churches Together in England and the local work of Churches Together groups and Local Ecumenical Partnerships.
